Warranty Coverage

DubaiScooters.ae provides a 12-month limited warranty for motor and battery only, subject to inspection and warranty eligibility.

✅ What Is Covered?

  • Battery failure caused by a verified manufacturing defect.
  • Motor failure caused by a verified manufacturing defect.
  • Internal motor or battery faults affecting normal operation under normal personal use.
  • Approved repair or replacement of the defective motor or battery.

❌ What Is Not Covered?

  • Water damage, rain damage, flooding, or moisture entering electrical parts.
  • Crash damage, impact damage, misuse, neglect, or overloading.
  • Unauthorized modification, tuning, disassembly, or repair.
  • Consumables and wear-and-tear parts including tires, tubes, brake pads, lights, plastics, scratches, and cosmetic damage.
  • Dashboard, meter, display, throttle, brake levers, light keys, key modules, controller, BMS, and accessories.

Warranty Conditions

To remain eligible for warranty support, the customer must follow these conditions:

  • Warranty starts from the document issue date, invoice date, or confirmed online order date.
  • The customer must provide a valid invoice, order number, or sales confirmation document.
  • The product serial number must be intact, readable, and match the purchase record where applicable.
  • The scooter must be used under normal personal use and within the designed load capacity.
  • The customer must use only the original charger or an officially approved charger.
  • The scooter and battery must be charged and stored indoors in a cool, dry, ventilated place.
  • The battery must not be left empty for long periods and should be charged regularly.
  • Final warranty approval is always subject to technical inspection by the authorized service team.
Warranty is limited within 1 year for repairing or replacing the defective motor or battery part only one time, subject to technical approval.

Causes That Void Warranty

The motor and battery warranty may be immediately voided if any of the following are found:

  • Repairing, opening, or servicing the product at a non-authorized service center.
  • Using third-party, non-original, or incompatible chargers.
  • Overcharging, improper charging, or leaving the scooter charging unattended for unsafe periods.
  • Leaving the battery empty or not charging it properly for more than 2 weeks.
  • Parking, storing, or charging the scooter in direct sunlight or high heat above 45°C.
  • Water exposure, rain exposure, flooding, washing with water pressure, or riding through deep water.
  • Accident, collision, fall, impact, misuse, abuse, neglect, or overloading.
  • Modifying wiring, connectors, controller, motor, BMS, battery, throttle, or display system.
  • Using the scooter for commercial rental or delivery service without written warranty approval.
  • Removing, cutting, bypassing, or modifying factory safety systems including brake sensors.

⚠️ Warranty Notice: Brake Sensor Modification

Cutting, disconnecting, bypassing, removing, or modifying the original brake sensor system will immediately void warranty coverage related to the controller, motor, wiring harness, display, throttle system, braking system, and any connected electrical components.

Brake sensors are factory-installed safety components. Any modification is considered unauthorized electrical tampering.

Why Brake Sensor Tampering Voids Warranty

Brake sensors are designed to cut motor power when the brake lever is pressed. If they are removed or disabled, the motor may continue pushing while the rider is braking. This creates abnormal stress, overheating, controller overload, electrical conflict, and excessive brake wear.

  • Motor power may continue during braking.
  • Controller MOSFETs and circuits may overheat or fail.
  • Electronic braking or regenerative braking may stop working.
  • Brake pads, rotors, and cables may wear abnormally.
  • Wiring harness and connectors may overheat.
  • Factory safety protection systems become disabled.
  • Throttle conflict may occur while braking.

Warranty Exclusions After Brake Sensor Modification

  • Controller failure or burned MOSFETs.
  • Motor overheating or abnormal motor stress.
  • Throttle conflict or acceleration while braking.
  • Wiring harness damage or short circuit.
  • Brake system damage or abnormal wear.
  • Electronic brake malfunction.
  • Fire, melting, heat damage, or short circuit caused by modified wiring.
DubaiScooters.ae and authorized technicians reserve the right to inspect the scooter, electric bike, or electric dirt bike for disconnected brake sensors, cut wiring, bypassed safety systems, aftermarket controller tuning, or unauthorized repairs before approving any warranty claim.

How to Submit a Warranty Claim

All claims must be submitted with clear evidence. Incomplete claims or missing video proof may be rejected or delayed.

Attach Required Proof

Your email must include order number or invoice copy, video showing the problem, short description of the issue, and photo of serial number if available.

Technical Inspection

Our authorized technicians will inspect the product to confirm whether the issue is a manufacturing defect or damage caused by misuse, water, accident, modification, or unauthorized repair.

Repair or Replacement Decision

If approved, the defective motor or battery will be repaired or replaced. If the same part is unavailable, a compatible equivalent may be provided.

Warranty Is Not Insurance

Warranty Insurance
Warranty covers verified manufacturing defects in the motor or battery under normal personal use. Insurance covers damage caused by external events such as accidents, crash damage, water exposure, misuse, or theft, depending on the insurance policy.
Warranty does not cover customer-caused damage, water damage, accidents, misuse, modification, or wear-and-tear. Insurance may cover external damage only if the customer has purchased a separate insurance policy.
THIS IS NOT AN INSURANCE DOCUMENT. Warranty does not cover accidents, water exposure, misuse, crash damage, or external damage.

UAE Consumer Protection Compliance

This warranty policy is provided in accordance with UAE consumer protection principles. Where UAE law grants mandatory consumer rights, those rights take precedence over this policy.

DubaiScooters.ae may reject fake, tampered, incomplete, modified, or non-verifiable warranty claims. Warranty approval remains subject to inspection and confirmation by the authorized technical team.

Warranty & Service — Segway Ninebot (Official Process)

Segway claims are handled only through the Segway Mobility app. Your scooter’s Serial Number (SN) is linked in the app, and warranty status is verified automatically.

  1. Install & sign in
  2. Pair your scooter

    The app links your device by Serial Number (SN). Warranty status appears automatically after pairing.

  3. Open Service tab (footer)

    Tap Service → Warranty/Repair, select your device, and start a claim.

  4. Submit your claim
    • Describe the issue
    • Upload photos/videos of the fault
    • Attach proof of purchase (invoice/receipt)
  5. Segway reviews & contacts you

    The case is routed to the regional Segway service partner. They’ll arrange drop‑off, shipping, or repair scheduling.

  • Device paired in the app (SN linked)
  • Proof of purchase from the original seller
  • Clear photos/videos of the fault
FAQ — Segway claims

Do I contact the shop?
No. Claims are submitted in the app; Segway’s system assigns the case to the official service partner.

Second‑hand scooter?
You can pair and see status. Claims usually require original proof of purchase and region eligibility.

App won’t pair?
Check Bluetooth, battery, and try near outdoors. SN is also on the box/under-deck; contact Segway support via the app if pairing fails.

What voids warranty?
Water ingress, crash/impact damage, modifications, or repairs done by non‑authorized centers.

Can’t access the app? Use Segway’s official online repair portal: Request Repair. (One request per Serial Number.)

Important: If any non‑authorized repair was done before, Segway warranty may be void. Always file the app claim first while in warranty.

Legal notice: Segway Ninebot warranty validation and decisions are made by Segway’s official system and regional partners. DubaiScooters.ae cannot approve/deny Segway claims filed outside the app. For Kugoo/Kugoo Kirin, our standard warranty terms apply.

Battery Safety & Liability Policy

Short Notice: Use only the original charger. Charge indoors on a hard, non‑flammable surface. Do not charge unattended or in heat/direct sun. Damage from misuse, overcharging, or improper storage/parking is not covered. DubaiScooters.ae is not responsible for incidents caused by customer negligence.

1) Customer responsibilities

  • Use only the original/OEM charger and cable supplied or approved for the product.
  • Charge indoors in a dry, ventilated area on a hard, non‑flammable surface; keep away from flammables.
  • Do not charge unattended (including overnight); disconnect once full.
  • Do not charge/store/park in direct sun, hot vehicles, or high‑heat areas.
  • Stop using damaged/swollen/overheating batteries or chargers; contact support.
  • No modifications to battery, BMS, wiring, charger, firmware, or unapproved add‑ons.

2) Examples of negligence/misuse

  • Overcharging or leaving on charge unattended/overnight.
  • Using third‑party/incompatible chargers or adapters.
  • Parking/charging/storing in heat or direct sunlight.
  • Using the product after impact, water ingress, or with visible battery damage.
  • DIY electrical/firmware modifications.

3) Warranty & coverage

Warranty excludes damage, fire, or loss caused by misuse, negligence, improper charging/storage, third‑party chargers, unauthorized repairs/modifications, or failure to follow instructions. Proven manufacturer defects remain covered within the warranty period.

4) Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DubaiScooters.ae/Create Max FZ‑LLC are not liable for loss, injury, or consequential damages arising from customer negligence, misuse, or breach of this Policy. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to repair, replacement, or refund of the product.

5) Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless DubaiScooters.ae/Create Max FZ‑LLC from claims and costs arising from your breach, misuse, or negligence.

6) Incident reporting

In case of smoke/heat/fire, prioritize safety, evacuate, call Civil Defence (997)

This Policy supplements the user manual. Nothing here limits non‑waivable rights under applicable UAE consumer laws.
